Hispanic American street gang based in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, founded in January 1988 by former 18th Street gang members. Named after Vineland Avenue, the gang has about 300 members and is part of the Sureño coalition under the Mexican Mafia. It has alliances with Armenian Power and the Abergil crime family, and ties to the Sinaloa Cartel. The gang was involved in the 2003 murder of Burbank Police Officer Matthew Pavelka, leading to a large-scale crackdown.
