Deobandi jihadist militant organization primarily operating along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Founded by Baitullah Mehsud in 2007, it seeks to overthrow the Pakistani government and establish an Islamic state. Designated as a terrorist group by the UN and Pakistan, it has carried out numerous suicide bombings and attacks. Led by Noor Wali Mehsud since 2018, the group underwent reorganization in 2020, merging several factions.
