The Kerryonians were an Irish-American street gang based in New York City's Five Points area, founded in the 1820s by immigrants from County Kerry, Ireland. They were the second oldest criminal street gang in New York City and were known for targeting British-descended New Yorkers and disrupting a performance by actor William Charles Macready in 1849. The gang was eventually absorbed into larger Five Points gangs such as the Dead Rabbits, Roach Guards, and Chichesters.
